This week is National School Lunch Week

Don’t forget to say “thank you” to those people who work to provide us with school lunches.

Also we have a fun fact from the Guidance Department

 

October is College Application Month. Seniors, when you apply to a college, show your senior English teacher your completed application or email confirmation so your name can be placed in a drawing for prizes. We will begin drawing this week and will continue for the month of October. 

 

We will have our College and Career Fair on October 24th from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm on the Rebel Boardwalk. College recruiters, Military Personnel, LOSFA, and Businesses from all over Louisiana and surrounding states will be here to visit with you! Make plans to attend! ! 

 

The 2nd period class winners from our Career Activity Competition this week... Mrs. Hunt, Mrs. Foster, Mrs. Jordan, and Mrs. Johnson

Congratulations! Prizes will be given for tomorrow (Friday)! Thank you to everyone who participated! More competitions will be coming your way this month!

Friday’s Activities: 

 

  • Today is Jersey Day. Thank you to all of you who wore jerseys today. Let’s go, Rebs! 

  • The football team will be playing at Pineville tonight. 

  • Those of you wanting to take the PSAT, registration closes on today for that test.

  • Those of you interested in playing basketball, those tryouts are this afternoon from 3:30-4:30 in the OLD gym.Remember you need to see Coach Hill and get some paperwork done,  including a physical, before you can tryout. 

 

Saturday’s Activities:

 

  • Tomorrow, students have an opportunity to tour ULM’s School of Construction Management from 9:30-1:00. Check with our Guidance Department if you are interested. 

  • Fall Break officially has begun.

 

A note from Guidance: 

Seniors, 

The FAFSA Application is being updated; therefore, it will be made available in DECEMBER 2023, instead of the usual October release date. Our Guidance Department will be providing more information on this important graduation requirement soon!
